VA-Arch mailing list

Purpose of the mailing list

The VA-Arch mailing list provides an open forum for the discussion of archeology in Virginia. Topics include current research and projects in prehistoric and historical archeology; conferences, events, and field school opportunities; and discussions related to any aspect of Virginia archeology. This list was created to facilitate the dissemination of information by members of the Archeological Society of Virginia, the Council of Virginia Archaeologists, and the Virginia Department of Historic Resources. The list is open to everyone with an interest in archeology or in the history and prehistory of Virginia.

What is a mailing list?

A mailing list is a twist on the old-fashioned "party line." After you subscribe to a mailing list, every email message that is posted to the list gets sent to your email address. This is an efficient method for getting messages out to people who have mutual interests and can be a good way to spur discussions and find answers and opinions on related topics.

In order to avoid potential problems when using the VA-Arch mailing list, please do not attach files to messages that you post to the list.
